Here at Chevrolet Van Nuys, we are deeply saddened by the recent wildfires that have devastated our local communities. Our hearts go out to all those affected by these deadly fires. As a longtime member of the Van Nuys, CA community, our dealership wants to do its best to help those in need. Here is an overview of how General Motors is taking steps to help employees, community members, and more recover from the Los Angeles wildfires.

Helping Those in Need

According to Duncan Aldred, vice president of global commercial growth strategies and operations at General Motors, “GM is extending targeted local support to our customers and employees who have been impacted by the California wildfires. We’re finding ways to help get people back on the road and using our resources to make a difference in the recovery in the weeks and months to come.”

One way GM is assisting is by providing mobile charging stations in targeted locations for drivers who no longer have access to their regular charging setup. This includes three GM HYDROTEC® mobile charging units, three Yoshi Mobility® charging trailers, and one InCharge Energy® mobile charging station. Additionally, General Motors is leading employee giving campaigns across the Los Angeles region, providing vehicles to the Red Cross for assistance, and deferring payments for impacted customers.
