In a recent announcement during the GM quarterly earnings conference call, CEO Mary Barra unveiled exciting news regarding the new version of the popular Chevy Bolt EV. The iconic automaker is gearing up to introduce the next-generation Chevy Bolt EV, reinforcing its commitment to delivering what customers have grown to love about the vehicle: impressive range, affordability, and cutting-edge technology features.
Upcoming New Chevy EV
In the announcement, Barra expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming model, stating, “Our customers love today’s Bolt. It has been delivering record sales and some of the highest customer satisfaction and loyalty scores in the industry. It’s also an important source of conquest sales for the company and for Chevrolet.”
Barra also promised a quick arrival of the new Chevy Bolt model without compromising on quality, stating, “We will keep the momentum going by delivering a new Bolt… and we will execute it more quickly compared to an all-new program with significantly lower engineering expense and capital investment by updating the vehicle with Ultium® and Ultifi® technologies.”
Cutting-Edge Ultium® and Ultifi® Technologies
The revolutionary technologies at the heart of the upcoming 2024 Chevy Bolt are called Ultium® and Ultifi®. These are the battery and software programs used to power and control upcoming Chevy EV vehicles, such as the Chevy Silverado EV, the Chevy Blazer EV, and the Chevy Equinox EV. The advanced Ultium batteries help improve how much charge a Chevy vehicle can hold, and the battery modules can be reconfigured to fit in vehicles of various sizes, from compact cars to pickups.
Meanwhile, the Ultifi® program is the new General Motors software program that will help unlock new experiences and enjoy new software-enabled features delivered straight to your car via over-the-air updates.
